Indore (Arun Kumar Jain).
Office-bearers of the Lok Hit Sanrakshan Sanyojan Samiti and environmental experts today reviewed various projects being implemented under the Tourism Ministry of the Government of Madhya Pradesh at the Ekatma Dham “Statue of Oneness” and the International Research Centre on Sanatan Culture, which are under construction on the hill of the renowned Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga.

The construction of this centre is underway over an area of approximately 350 acres in Omkareshwar. In addition, a residential zone spread over about 150 acres is also being developed on the same hill. A detailed study of both these sites and the statue—particularly with the objective of preventing environmental damage—was undertaken. Experts who had arrived from New Delhi, namely Shri T. Mishra and Shri Lakshya, along with office-bearers of the Omkareshwar Temple Trust and Swami Shri Bhimanand Ji Saraswati of the Shankaracharya Math, participated in an intensive deliberation camp.
Under the guidance of Swami Shri Bhimanand Ji Saraswati, the construction of Ekatma Dham is progressing steadily. During the meeting, discussions were also held, under his guidance, to outline steps for taking decisions in public interest and ensuring their effective implementation, keeping in view the upcoming Simhastha in Ujjain.
Office-bearers and experts of the Lok Hit Sanrakshan Sanyojan Samiti also held discussions with various groups to organize, through mutual coordination, dedicated and cooperative systems—beyond governmental support—for ensuring spontaneous and active participation of devotees in creative environmental conservation and enhancement at the pilgrimage sites of Jyotirlinga Mandhata, Omkareshwar, and Mamleshwar, and to ensure public cooperation.

They met pilgrims and held extensive deliberations on effective measures to resolve their problems, including difficulties faced in Omkareshwar and issues related to queues. On this occasion, Swami Ji presented mementos bearing images of Adi Shankaracharya to the committee’s office-bearers and experts.
On behalf of the Temple Trust, members of the royal family extended a welcome, and all participants were offered Prabhu Prasad and Rudraksha malas as a blessing of the Jyotirlinga.
