AIIMS Bhopal and HDFC Bank Sign MoU to

Strengthen Organ Transplant Services

Bhopal. Taking an important step towards further strengthening advanced healthcare services, an MoU was signed between AIIMS Bhopal and HDFC Bank. This collaboration has been undertaken under HDFC Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. Under this agreement, HDFC Bank will provide state-of-the-art medical equipment worth approximately six crore rupees to AIIMS Bhopal, which will be used to strengthen the organ transplant programme and to establish a Centre of Excellence for Transplantation.

With this collaboration, the availability of advanced critical care and surgical equipment at AIIMS Bhopal will be ensured, which are essential for complex organ transplant procedures. This will lead to a significant increase in the institute’s organ transplant capacity, improved treatment outcomes for patients, and the delivery of timely, high-quality healthcare services. This initiative will be especially beneficial for patients from economically weaker sections.

On this occasion, the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar, said that the establishment of the Centre of Excellence for Transplantation will not only strengthen clinical services but will also promote advanced training, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of transplant medicine. With the new facilities, AIIMS Bhopal will be able to emerge as a regional hub for comprehensive transplant care in the future.

Representatives of HDFC Bank reiterated their commitment to strengthening public healthcare institutions and stated that supporting impactful healthcare initiatives aligns with their vision of inclusive and sustainable development.

From AIIMS Bhopal, Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar (Executive Director), Shri Sandesh Kumar Jain (Deputy Director–Administration), and Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Gupta (Officiating Medical Superintendent), along with faculty members from the Department of Urology and the CTVS Department, were present at the programme. From HDFC Bank, Mr. Ashu Garg (Senior Vice President-II–Retail Branch Banking), Ms. Parita Sharma (Vice President–Retail Branch Banking), Mr. Mahendra Gautam (Deputy Vice President–Retail Branch Banking), and Ms. Richa Naula (Project Manager–Corporate Social Responsibility Team) were present.
