AIIMS Bhopal Launches Innovative Scan and Pay Facility to

Enhance Patient Experience

Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, inaugurated the Scan and Pay facility at AIIMS Bhopal on Saturday, 26 October 2024. This innovative service aims to simplify the payment process for patients, eliminating the need to stand in long queues.

Prof. Singh emphasized the significance of this new facility, stating, “This is a new facility being launched in Central India. This initiative is extremely beneficial for patients as they will be able to avoid the hassle of standing in queues for payment. This new system will make registration, payment for various laboratory tests, and other services seamless. This facility aligns with the vision of Digital India set forth by our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and will simplify the process for approximately 5,000 to 6,000 patients visiting AIIMS Bhopal daily.”

With this launch, AIIMS Bhopal becomes the second institution in the AIIMS network to implement this advanced payment facility, following its successful introduction at AIIMS Jodhpur. The inauguration ceremony was well-attended, with a large number of faculty members, nursing staff, and community representatives showing their enthusiasm for this significant development in patient care.

Prof. Singh reiterated his commitment to improving patient services, stating, “We are constantly striving to enhance the healthcare experience for our patients, and this Scan and Pay facility is a testament to that commitment.”

This initiative marks a significant step forward in streamlining patient interactions with healthcare services at AIIMS Bhopal, paving the way for a more efficient and patient-friendly environment.
