AIIMS Bhopal’s AYUSH Department organized a health camp in Barkhedi, Jahangirabad
AIIMS Bhopal’s AYUSH Department organized a health camp in Barkhedi, Jahangirabad on Thursday, 5 September 2024. This initiative was taken under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal. Professor Singh is a strong supporter of expanding health services to the deprived rural population. The health camp was organized at Barkhedi, Jahangirabad, in which many patients came and took advantage of the health camp. Medical Officer Dr. Tariq Barkati and Yoga Instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi were present on behalf of AYUSH. During this, a special session of yoga was also conducted for the children of Government Higher Secondary School (CM Rise), Barkhedi, Jahangirabad, in which along with the children, teachers also participated in it. A total of more than 500 children and teachers were involved in it.
A special yoga session was organized on the occasion of Teachers' Day. In this session, Chief Yoga Instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi made the teachers and children practice various methods of Pranayama and Meditation. At the beginning of the session, senior doctor and yoga expert of AYUSH department highlighted the scientific and spiritual aspects of Pranayama and meditation. He explained how regular practice of Pranayama brings energy and positivity in life.
Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh appreciated the efforts of AYUSH department in organizing this health camp. He said that such outreach activities are important in improving access and outcomes of health services in rural areas, thereby empowering rural communities to lead a healthy life. AIIMS Bhopal is dedicated to expanding quality health services in remote areas as part of its mission.
