AIIMS Swasthya’ App Reduces Waiting Time, Makes Doctor Consultation Easier

In line with the vision of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to provide “Digital Healthcare Services at Your Fingertips”, AIIMS Bhopal has further strengthened its digital healthcare delivery system by releasing new features on the ‘AIIMS Swasthya’ Mobile App. The app has been developed for patients, doctors, and nurses and is fully compliant with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Through this app, patients can create or link their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID. Linked health records can be easily accessed by other hospitals, ensuring faster and more effective delivery of healthcare. The ‘AIIMS Swasthya’ App simplifies several hospital-related processes and brings essential facilities directly to patients’ fingertips. Patients can book online appointments in advance and secure consultations with doctors without unnecessary delays. Keeping patient convenience in mind, the app also provides a digital payment facility through which consultation fees and OPD service charges can be securely paid directly via the app.

Among the newly added features, the most significant is the E-Visit facility, which allows patients to complete OPD re-registration without standing in queues. Patients present in the hospital premises can enable location access on the app, generate their OPD ticket themselves, and print it conveniently. In addition, patients can now view and download their digital prescriptions, discharge summaries, and lab reports anytime and anywhere. This reduces the use of paper and enables patients to access lab reports from home without having to visit the hospital. At the same time, the app’s existing services have also been enhanced, including patient and doctor login with self-registration, OPD and lab enquiry, ABHA ID creation and viewing, online appointment booking and revisit registration through QR code, online investigation report view and download with scan upload facility, access to health records through the doctor login desk, multi-patient enrolment under a single mobile number, and instant updates via SMS gateway.

With these new and upgraded facilities, the ‘AIIMS Swasthya’ Mobile App now brings almost all healthcare services onto a single digital platform. It enables doctors to deliver timely, transparent, and efficient medical care. The app is available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and can also be downloaded directly by scanning the QR code.
