Now the President of the United States, Trump, should indeed be given the Nobel Peace Prize! You may be wondering what such great deed the American President has done that he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. You are right in thinking so. In fact, he has done nothing of that sort. However, a war has certainly begun between the United States and Iran. Technically, this war is directly between Israel and Iran, but the United States has always stood by Israel like a brother and has joined the conflict from the very beginning.

Because of this war, diesel and petrol prices have started rising across the world, and fears are being expressed about possible shortages. A shortage of cooking gas is being felt in many countries, including India. Earlier, Trump had spread his influence across the world through tariff wars, and now he is spreading fear globally through actual warfare. Terror and tension have not decreased; rather, they have intensified.

The U.S.–Iran war entered its 15th day on March 14. The conflict began on February 28, and at present there are no signs of it stopping. In the last 24 hours, the situation has become even more tense. Recently, the United States announced a reward of 10 million dollars for anyone who provides accurate information about the exact location of Iran’s newly elected Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. In other words, a reward of more than 800 to 900 million rupees has been announced for such information. This indicates that the war may escalate further. There seems to be no immediate possibility of the conflict de-escalating or ending.

In such a situation, an incident from school days comes to mind. To maintain peace and discipline in the classroom, teachers would often appoint the most mischievous boy in the class as the class monitor. As a result, all the other students would be somewhat afraid of that mischievous boy, and discipline would be maintained in the classroom. The mischievous boy would also be happy, and peace would prevail in the class.

Something similar needs to be done now. It is largely because of this support that Ukraine has been able to stand firm in the war against a superpower like Russia for the past three years.

If you feel there is even a little merit in the idea that giving the Nobel Peace Prize to the U.S. President Trump could help establish peace in the world, then he should certainly be awarded it! The Nobel Peace Prize Committee should seriously consider this idea. Until now, the practice has been to award the Nobel Peace Prize to those who have already made significant contributions toward establishing world peace. But now the opposite approach may be needed—award the Nobel Prize to someone who will establish peace after receiving it.

However, one condition should definitely be included. Before awarding the Nobel Peace Prize, the U.S. President Trump should give a written commitment that after receiving the prize he will not only end the Israel–America–Iran conflict but will also bring an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia.
