AIIMS Bhopal's AYUSH Department Organizes Health Camp at Kalkheda Village

Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, the AYUSH department organized a health camp in Kalkheda village. Prof. Singh is a strong advocate for extending healthcare services to underprivileged populations. During this event, a special yoga session was conducted for the students of the Government Secondary School in Kalkheda village, with participation from both students and teachers. A total of 85 students and teachers attended the session. Medical Officer Dr. A. Aishwarya and yoga instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi were present from the AYUSH department.

Various sessions of health check-up and yoga were organised in this camp from morning till evening. The camp began with a yoga session led by AIIMS yoga experts, who taught participants several asanas, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Pranayama. The experts also emphasized the importance of a balanced diet and physical activity, encouraging children and adults alike to stay away from junk food and unhealthy habits. The camp featured free consultations on AYUSH, along with the distribution of free medicines to patients. Additionally, an awareness program was held to provide comprehensive health solutions to the community. Many attendees, who had chronic health issues such as arthritis, anxiety, and high blood pressure, showed significant improvement and expressed their gratitude.

Prof. Singh praised the efforts of the AYUSH department in organizing the health camp. He emphasized the importance of outreach activities like these, which help extend healthcare access and improve outcomes, empowering individuals to lead healthier lives. AIIMS Bhopal remains committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services in remote areas as part of its mission.
